I think a grey or black pencil skirt with the shirt tucked it would look very smart and stylish. Otherwise a pair of high-waisted charcoal pants would look fabulous with a just the right hint of retro chic!

I LOVE this shirt! I really like the idea of wide legged trousers with this. You could do navy or if you could find them, in the teal.

I know it's not business event appropriate but if I owned that shirt I'd wear it with my rust coloured shorts :-)

Thanks Val! I adore navy and this has worked so well with my navy skinny jeans. But it is tricky for work purposes, since I can't turn up in jeans!! :) So thanks for your advice too re black/charcoal - I can try it with some of my other staples.

I love this - great quality & innovative styling! I'd wear it with black or charcoal bottoms - whether pants or pencil skirt & tucked in. I'd keep the belt subtle & a similar width to the belt loops. Belt same colour as the bottom (the shirt says enough "I am creative") - unless ur very long waisted, in which I'd use a belt as close in colour to the bottom as possible. If ur short waisted - keep the belt as close in colour to the shirt's navy. I am definitely more conservative than Katherine!

Love the retro chic vibe of this blouse. If i were you, i would team this up with something a little softer than black, maybe bring out the teal highlights in the shirt or even the maroon red. You could tuck it into a fitted grey pencil skirt or wide leg trousers and wear a thin belt to cinch you in. The belt could be in ANY of these gorgeous colours (even the Kelly Green would look great splashed back in a belt or a clutch purse)
