what can I wear to my new job?
I have got a job and the dress code is Black and white, what could I wear to also look trendy and stylish for my new job because I also want to make a good first impression. Any ideas? xx
A black sheath dress is a great option and probably what you are going to feel most comfortable it, which is most important being a new job! If you were looking for something slightly different that still is within the black and white dress code, consider doing a stylish pant suit, like this :)
A little black number can never lead you astray! Because you dont already know the clothing culture of your new workplace, best to keep it simple with a little black dress with think black patent waisted belt, ensure the dress has capped or short sleeves, so you are not drowned out in black. Couldnt agree more with a pair of pearl earrings or single strand pearl neacklace to complete the outfit with basic black pumps. Best of luck with your new job!!
Try a high waisted pencil skirt with a fitted white shirt tucked in. Stores like Portmans, Ojay and David Lawrence have some great options. Otherwise a fitted knee length dress with short sleeves is just the ticket! I agree with Katy - you can't go wrong with black and white! I'd also start with a great little black dress and mid-heels (or ballet flats if you are on your feet all day). This dress from Saba would be great!
Black and white is a great workwear combo, because you can hardly ever get it wrong! For a first day on the job, I'd wear a black corporate knee-length dress, with a white 3/4 sleeve button down shirt underneath. You can glam it up a bit with a cute pair of black pumps (closed-toe) and some pearl stud earrings. From there, you can suss out the style of the office and see which way to head!
