Accessories to match formal dress!
This is my formal dress (it looks way way way better in person!) http://bit.ly/LgXb9u I'm not sure what jewelry/bags/shoes etc would go well with it. I'm thinking of having my hair and make up old/classic Hollywood esque and will probably have a red lip. Any suggestions would be amazing!

What a beautiful dress! You could keep your shoes and purse plain black (perhaps patent?) then have rhinestone jewellery, that's very Hollywood. The make-up you described sounds classic and will work well with the dress. It's time to go Old Hollywood. A triple barel curling tong would be ideal to replicate that classic Hollywood Goddess hair. You can pick up a great VS one at priceline for around $60.00, but I'm sure someone you know would have one. I think a bold lip would work well, try MAC's 'Russian Red' I find this has a great blue base and works well with most skin types. Go easy on the eye makeup and I would avoid heavy eye makeup with a bold lip. I would stick with black accessories for a classic look.
You could really match any metallic clutch and shoes with the dress, but I agree with Delia, a pair of black peeptoe heels and a simple black clutch which you'll get a lot of use from would be ideal. Or to be a little different, look for a beaded and fringed bag - very Downton Abbey with jet beads! This dress is such a classic, you'll look very elegant and you won't have those dreaded dated formal photos! Try some finger waves in your hair for a Great Gatsby style!

Hi KateElizabeth, wow what a stunning dress! I love that satin colour and the black lace bodice. Divine! I think black heels and a black clutch would be ideal, to reference the black bodice, and to allow the dress (and you!) to shine. I'd go for a simple black clutch without fuss and some patent heels like the photo, or strappy black heels. LOVE the idea of old Hollywood style with your hair and make-up. Very elegant and beautiful!
